For someone that has sleep apnea, it is difficult for me to maneuver the bulky CPAP therapy machine. It is frustrating trying to keep the CPAP on through the night. However, Dr. Michael Auld, DDS with Auld Family Dentistry of McAlester, OK has introduced me to a non-surgical therapy of using a custom-fitted oral sleep appliance. The oral appliance works by repositioning the lower jaw forward, keeping airways open to eliminate lapses in breathing. I am using the appliance consistently & it is providing me significant improvement in the sleep apnea symptoms. I am now getting restorative sleep. It is proving to be a beneficial & effective method of treatment. This small, portable and compact device is comfortable to wear. I am thankful for Dr. Michael Auld. He carefully explained everything about the appliance during the initial consultation. He continues to monitor my progress, making adjustments when needed to assure the maximum benefit the device has to offer!
